Eco-friendly carpet cleaning in Bath

Green Man are proud to deliver an outstanding and innovative eco-friendly carpet, rug & upholstery cleaning service to our customers in Bath.

As members of the National Carpet Cleaners Association, we have continually invested in both up-to-date training and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure we are able to provide a responsive and professional service to both domestic & commercial customers alike.

“A superior result in almost every situation”

A few years back, the concept of eco-friendly still had the sound of something faddish or vaguely hippy-like about it. Certainly, we have spent a lot of time demonstrating that being environmentally friendly definitely does not mean that our products are inferior. In fact, the reality is that modern, eco-friendly cleaning means a superior result in almost every situation. The benefits in our industry are that these new formulations are free rinsing.

Old-fashioned detergents invariably fail to be entirely rinsed from a carpet during a clean and will attract soils much quicker, meaning unscrupulous carpet cleaners find they are called back more frequently and- ironically- make things worse than they were before!

Not only will our solutions help to maintain the cleanliness of your soft furnishings, but they also sanitise as they work. Whether your carpets, rugs or upholstery are constructed of natural or synthetic fibres, the many solutions we use combine the benefits of deep-cleaning with the additional benefit of a sanitising action.

Hypoallergenic cleaning

One of the clear benefits of operating in a sustainable way is that our cleaning systems are highly suitable for hypoallergenic cleaning.

At the initial stage of the clean, we’ve ensured that dust, pathogens and the multitude of airborne, allergy-causing pathogens are filtered through two electrostatically charged filters at the vacuum stage.

Following this, the agitation stage of our cleaning system is designed to remove even more particulates by effectively brushing the carpet pile or upholstery fabric.

The final rinse extraction process will rinse and recover the wide spectrum of soils, grease, stains and debris that the previous stages have made soluble, leaving your carpet/rugs/upholstery restored to their best potential condition.

Protecting the natural world

At the heart of our business is a pledge to provide the absolute best carpet cleaning with the absolute minimum harm to the world around us.

Sourcing excellent eco-products is part of this, but so is responsible disposal of any waste water or vacuum bags we dispose of. Minimising our use of diesel is also a priority, which is why our manager continues to cycle to as many surveys as he can. One day, we hope to be able to buy zero-emission vans for the whole team. This would be a huge expense, but is not an impossible aspiration and one that we are all keen to fulfil.

If you have any questions about the way we run our business, please do feel free to get in touch.

Office chair & office carpet clean in Bristol City Centre

Last weekend, Green Man carried out a deep clean of 56 office chairs and four office carpets at a location on Queens Square, Bristol.

Following an initial professional survey, we organised a bespoke clean that would tackle the key issues our client had.

These were:

  • Grubby marks on the arms and upper surfaces of high-end cream office furniture
  • A variety of food/ink/hand marks on standard office chairs
  • Heavy soiling in dark coloured carpets (that were hiding the wear well)

The diagnosis for this combination of issues was a deep- clean using our industry standard eco-sanitising solutions.

In order to ensure a satisfactory result was achieved, we also planned to use several environmentally friendly solvents to initially dry-clean problem areas on the furniture.

Our professional office chair cleaning method

This includes:
1. Vacuuming (using an industrial vacuum with turbo-brush hand tool attached)
2. Spot/stain treatments
3. Eco-friendly/ sanitising pre-spray
4.Rotary agitation (using a motorised brush machine)
5. Rinse extraction (see video below)

Once we had completed the upholstery cleaning, whilst it dried, we were then able to attend to the carpets. In order to ensure the clean was thorough, we took all moveable elements out of each office before proceeding.

Our professional office carpet cleaning method

A little known fact is that a deep carpet clean employs a very similar method to an upholstery clean, but using a different range of tools. After the initial vacuum (using our trusted Sebo BS36 & BS46s), we stain treat, apply a pre-spray, agitate then rinse extract.

Here’s one of the offices being cleaned (at a slightly faster rate) below:

Once the carpets were cleaned, we replaced all the furniture & conducted a final spot check with our client. All elements were judged good, so we thanked our client, carefully packed all our equipment & left to do our Christmas shopping!
