Professional clean of carpets, upholstery and sisal rugs near Bath.

Several members of the team were working together on professional carpet, upholstery and sisal rug cleaning near Bath this week.

The size of the rugs meant it was wise for several technicians to work together to achieve some outstanding results in a timely manner.

Deep eco friendly carpet cleaning in Bath

These beautiful light coloured carpets were given the thorough Green Man professional service.

This included a combination of vacuuming, spot/stain treatments, an eco sanitising pre-spray, rotary agitation and traditional rinse extraction.

This process ensures that any deep down embedded dirt is lifted and removed and the carpets are sanitised and refreshed. They are back looking at their best following this deep clean.

Next up it was time to tackle the large sisal rugs.

The cellulosic fibres in sisal mean that it cannot be treated with the same method as other carpets. If we did clean sisal in the same method, it would become overwet and the structure would break down. This would ruin the sisal.

The first stage for cleaning sisal is a thorough deep vacuum. With the professional vacuums we use we are able to adjust the rotating brush bar to ensure it is working deep down into the fibres of the sisal to remove deep down embedded dirt.

After the vacuuming it is time for the application of a cleaning compound, which you can see here in the image to the right.

The cleaning compound is a natural, biodegradable material that can absorb any soiling that has been resistant to the vacuuming.

This method is known as VLM, very low moisture cleaning and allows sisal to be cleaned without damaging any fibres.

Once the compound has dried it is then vacuumed once more.

This sisal is then left freshened and deodorised.

Excellent upholstery clean in Cardiff coffee shop

Last month, our technician, Pete, travelled to Cardiff to clean some upholstery in a Starbucks coffee shop. They had requested a deep clean of a number of upholstered chairs from the café that had become soiled over time. Often, shops and eateries require cleaning during closed periods, however on this occasion, the premises had an area where Pete could work without disturbing the customers.

After thoroughly vacuuming the chairs upon arrival, the next step was to use an eco-friendly, sanitising pre-spray & treat any staining on the chairs. As I’m sure you can imagine, any upholstery in food & beverage premises are prone to staining from spillages & mucky hands.

Next up, Pete used a brush to agitate the fabric in-order to really attack those stubborn stains & to bring any debris to the surface. This is an important step in achieving a deep clean before the rinse extraction begins.

Each part of the cleaning process mentioned above, prepares the upholstery for the final step which is a traditional rinse extraction (steam cleaning). This extracts the water, cleaning solutions & soiling from the upholstery to give you satisfying results as seen in this photo!

An excellent level of cleaning was achieved on these chairs which were not only cleaner but also sanitised. On this occasion, the chairs were left to dry naturally. However, if the drying time is a concern for you or your business, we are able to deliver a modern, low moisture upholstery clean which is suitable for most fabric types, providing the level of soiling is not too heavy! Just ask for more details.

As with all of our cleaning, the products used were eco-friendly & these results show that by using these products, you do not have to compromise on the quality of the clean.

Gorgeous porcelain tiles receiving a deep clean in Cheltenham.

This week Pete and Joanne were working together to bring these porcelain tiles in Cheltenham back to their beautiful best.

Pete had initially attended in January to assess the tiles and discuss the clean with the customer. It was clear from the survey that this would require two technicians to achieve the best results.

After the flooring has been cleared as much as possible, it was time to start a thorough vacuuming and sweeping to remove any loose debris. The rotary agitator is then used, combined with some environmentally friendly solutions, to break down embedded soil and dirt to be lifted away and removed. With these tiles, the grout can often be an area in which dirt gathers and embeds. To address this, Pete and Joanne worked on the grout by hand to ensure dirt is lifted and can be removed.

The image above is a great example of how much soil can be embedded into tiles. Here you can see the right hand side has been cleaned and the left has not. Prior to the cleaning you would not have looked at the tiles and thought they were particularly soiled, the right hand side shows there was a significant amount of impacted dirt that was dulling the colour and shine of the tiles.

After all the soil has been lifted, a wet vacuum is used to extract all the dirt and water, and the flooring is then rinsed. Depending on the level of soiling sometimes this may need repeating.

After this process has been repeated as many times as is necessary to get them nice and clean they are left to dry, they can be forced dry using an air mover if necessary.

These tiles do not require sealing.

Tiles like these are a beautiful choice for any home, it is important to get them professionally deep cleaned in order to stop the accumulation of dirt that domestic home cleaning is not strong enough to prevent. Regular deep cleaning and resealing where needed can increase the lifespan of your tiles, meaning you get your tiles lasting longer and therefore get more for your money, as well as being more friendly to the environment.

Successful end of tenancy carpet clean in Swindon

We receive many calls from tenants & landlords that require end of tenancy carpet cleaning to ensure the property is left looking cleaner & fresher ready for viewings & new tenants. For many tenants, having the carpets professionally cleaned is stipulated in their contract & we can help you with this!

Last week, our technician, Joanne was called to an address in Swindon to carry out an end of tenancy carpet clean for the outgoing tenant. The property had already been vacated & was unfurnished, meaning that Joanne could really tackle the carpets.

On arrival, Joanne toured the house to have a good look at the carpets & determine the right treatment to bring them back to looking their best potential condition.

As this was an unfurnished property, you get a really good view of the carpets & can see how much the areas that have regular footfall differ from the unused areas of carpet.

As you can see, the carpets were in need of a deep clean & therefore our standard process of traditional rinse extraction was used in this property.

The carpets were all vacuumed first before any notable stains were treated. The customer had already informed us on this occasion of stains in the hallway & lounge, however our technicians will treat any that they see as the move around the rooms.

Next, the carpets are treated with an eco-sanitising pre spray before the rotary agitation machine is used to bring any debris to the surface.

The final step of the process is the traditional rinse extraction, otherwise know as steam cleaning. Depending on the level of soiling, this final step is sometimes repeated to ensure a good a finish as possible.
