We are very fortunate to have worked at Thornbury Castle many times carrying our various cleans & repairs & this week we were very pleased to visit again to carry out some commercial carpet cleaning of the dining room & entrance area.
The beautiful Thornbury Castle is a 16th century castle in Bristol which now operates as a hotel & restaurant. Therefore the dining area & entrance area receive a large amount of footfall so these areas in particular were ready for a deep clean to get them looking their best again.
On arrival, our technician Pete carried out a short inspection of these areas before setting to work.
The first step in the cleaning process is to vacuum the carpets to remove as much surface soiling as possible.

Then any notable stains are treated & the solutions left to dwell to breakdown the stain as much as possible.
An eco-sanitising pre spray is then applied which kills bacteria as well as breaking down stubborn soiling even further.

Next the rotary agitation machine is used to gently apply hot water & cleaning solutions to the carpet. The brushes on the bottom of the machine agitate the carpet fibres to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned as well as applying pressure which releases further soiling.
The final part of the cleaning process is the traditional rinse extraction. This large machine extracts all of the hot water, cleaning products & soiling from the carpets which results in a deep clean.

Here you can watch a great time lapse video of our technician hard at work showing all the different parts of the cleaning process!

Finally as an added extra, we were asked to give the welcome mat a quick clean as it was looking a little tired. As you can see, Pete made a great improvement here as well & it is now a much nicer welcome for the castle’s future customers.
