We were recently contacted by a local primary school in Bath as they were interested in having their carpets and rugs cleaned during the school summer holidays. We arranged for one of our technicians to go to the school to see exactly what is was they required and to make sure we employed the correct processes to ensure optimum results.
Following our successful survey, it was back to school for a few members of the Green Man team! They spent a whole day last week cleaning the majority of the carpets as well as 12 bright & fun rugs.
They cleaned the rugs en masse in the hall where there was lots of room to work. Our process for cleaning the rugs starts with pre-testing them, specifically for dye fastness, we then vacuum them front & back before we treat any stains & apply a eco-sanitising spray before they finally agitate and rinse extract them. On this occasion we also used an array of air-movers to accelerate the drying process.
Our team worked hard to bring out these great results on both the carpets & rugs which suffered from not only ingrained dirt from being high traffic areas such as this walkway but also the grubby marks often left behind by young children, which resulted in them looking significantly cleaner & brighter.
For the children’s areas, especially the rugs where they often sit & play, we included a post clean application of an eco-friendly biocide that will help stop any bacterial/virus action, which I’m sure you agree is a huge benefit in this type of environment. Our traditional rinse extraction sanitises carpets, however this method will also ensure disinfection.
