At the end of February, we were contacted by the Operations manager of the popular Bristol attraction, We The Curious as they were interested in having their carpets cleaned. As with all commercial carpet cleaning enquires, we arranged to pop in & carry out a short survey of the carpets to see exactly what was required in order to provide them with a quote.
The survey was successful & on Monday we deployed a team of 6 technicians to spend the day giving the carpets a thorough clean. As I’m sure you can imagine, this was a big site that has a high turnover of visitors so we had a busy day ahead of us!
On arrival, our team split into smaller groups to tackle particular areas together. Once all the kit was unloaded & the team had a walk around to see what was ahead of them, it was time to set to work.
The first step in the cleaning process is to use a commercial vacuum cleaner to remove as much of the surface soiling as possible & this prepares the carpets for the more intensive steps of the clean.
Then any stains are treated using the appropriate solutions & an eco-sanitising pre spray is applied to the carpets. This solution not only kills bacteria but also helps to further break down any stubborn soiling.
Once sufficient dwell time for these solutions had passed, it was time to agitate the carpets. This is carried out using the rotary agitation machine as seen in this photo. This machine is gently weighted & once loaded with hot water & cleaning products, the brushes on the bottom agitate the carpet whilst working the water & products deep into the carpet fibres.
This provides a thorough clean & breaks down any stubborn soiling especially that is found at the bottom of the pile.
The final part of our cleaning process is the traditional rinse extraction. The extraction machine removes all of the water, cleaning products & soiling from the carpets. The whole process means that the carpets have had a thorough deep clean & leaves them looking cleaner, fresher & sanitised.
