We were contacted at the end of July by a Bristol based business who were unhappy with the look of their shop floor & were interested in having it professionaly cleaned. We arranged a convenient time for one of our experienced technicians to go & carry out a short survey of the floor to see exactly what the customer had & discuss what they were looking to achieve. Following on from the successful survey, two of our technicians carried out the clean on Monday morning whilst the shop was closed.
The survey had revealed that the floor was engineered stone which incorporated recycled glass which gave it a glossy finish.. Along with general wear, there were some floor stickers to be removed plus old spray adhesive, heavy scuffing & areas of general soiling.
On arrival our technicians started by moving a lot of display cabinets & shelving & then gave the floor a thorough sweep & vacuum to remove any surface debris.
Then we apply a commercial strength hard floor cleaning solution to the floor & use the weighted rotary machine with a moderately abrasive pad to agitate it. This cleans the floor whilst applying some pressure to any stubborn staining.
The technicians then use a wet vac to pick up the resulting slurry. Depending on the soil load, this part of the process is sometimes repeated to ensure maximum results.
All of the grout/join lines also need to be cleaned as whilst the steps above may remove some soiling, it is not going to retrieve all of it. This means using grout brushes to clean these areas by hand.
The floor is then rinsed & wet vac’d again to achieve the final results.
The floor cleaned up incredibly well here & the rotary machine had successfully managed to remove most of the scuff marks. The professional clean made the floor much cleaner & it was looking brighter & completely refreshed.
