Last month whilst carrying out a commercial clean of one on the shops at Longleat, we were asked to survey a number of other areas of the park including some of their restaurants. Conducting a survey allows us to determine the condition/specific requirements of your premises & it is carried out by one of our trained technicians.
Following on from the successful survey, we sent 4 members of the Green Man team to Longleat earlier this week to spend the day cleaning numerous areas of flotex carpet & restaurant upholstery.
Flotex is a completely synthetic material that can be printed on to give it many different appearances. Owing to the huge number of fibres per metre on Flotex, it is able to conceal an enormous soil-load. Effective vacuuming will remove up to 79% of dry soils, so this was an important first stage of our cleaning process.

An eco-friendly pre-spray was then applied to the floor before our technicians used a rotary machine & a CRB (contra-rotating brush) machine to agitate the cleaning solution & further break up any stubborn soiling, this helps ensure that the rinse extraction draws out as much as the debris as possible. Once complete, we use commercial air-movers & dehumidifiers to ensure rapid drying. You can see in the comparison pictures below that the carpet looked cleaner & brighter on completion.

Whilst the flotex carpet cleaning was taking place, other members of the team were hard at work with the upholstery cleaning. As you would expect, upholstery within a busy restaurant environment it is subjected to high level of soiling. Our task here was to clean the back pads of a number of booths as well as 18 heavily soiled fabric lounge-style seats.

The process for cleaning the upholstery is much the same as carpets, we just swap out some of the bigger machinery for smaller hand held tools & some manual agitation. The level of soiling on some of the chairs was quite significant & therefore not all of the staining lifted, however they were all cleaner & sanitised as a result of the clean. As with the carpets, we used commercial air-movers & dehumidifiers to ensure rapid drying of all the upholstery.
