Ollie’s services were needed in Limpley Stoke, Bath last week to provide the Green Man rug deep cleaning service to several beautiful rugs. These rugs were all in good condition but needed a thorough deep clean to bring them back to their best.
After an initial examination and getting all the kit set up, Ollie got to work cleaning these lovely rugs.
After setting up tarpaulin to protect the flooring, signage and all the necessary equipment, Ollie was able to start the process of deep cleaning these rugs.
We will always pretest before starting any of the processes, this is to ensure we use the correct method for the particular fabric. Once our experienced technicians have pretested and assessed, specifically for dye migration when cleaning rugs, the Green Man cleaning process can continue.
After a thorough dry extraction of the front and back of the rugs with a professional vacuum cleaner, Ollie then addressed any spots/stains and applied an eco sanitising prespray.
Agitation is the next step in the process, this is to ensure any embedded dirt is loosened and removed. As you can see in the images above, Ollie did this by hand with a brush for these rugs. For carpets, a rotary agitator is often used.
Rinse extraction, also known as steam cleaning, is the next step in the process. You can see this in action in the video to the right. The rinse extraction ensures deep down bacteria is addressed and removed, leaving the rugs sanitised and fresh.
Once the Green Man process is complete, our technicians always try to find the best places to leave the rugs to dry as quickly as possible.
Now the weather is getting nicer we will try to make use of the sunshine to assist where we can!
For multiple rugs, or very large rugs, we will often recommend the hire of an air mover. This speeds up the process and ensures the rugs dry nice and evenly.
Ollie has achieved some wonderful results here. All the rugs have been left clean, fresh and with a new lease of life.
